SENIOR CITIZENS CLUB
The Norwood Senior
Citizen Club meets on
the first and third
Monday of each month at
1PM at the Norwood
Community Center, 453
Broadway. Refreshments
are served after the
meeting. The Center
remains open on meeting
days until 4:30 PM to
enable members to play
cards, board games,
etc. Guest speakers are
invited to inform members
of timely information.
Recent topics have been
health issues, financial
subjects and personal
safety programs and
local public issues.
Federal and County
Benefit Services
information is
distributed to members
whenever it becomes
available. Membership
is open to Norwood
residents aged 55 or
over. Club members
participate in community
giving with last year’s
project being “The
Center for Food
Action.” Blood pressure
screenings are given
prior to the meeting on
the first Monday of the
month from 12:30 – 1:00
p.m.
Several day and casino
trips plus some extended
trips are planned
throughout the year.
