Members of the Police Department are appointed by a
majority vote of the Borough Council at a regular meeting or at a
special meeting called for that purpose. Qualifications, testing
and promotion procedures, powers and duties, rules and regulations of
the Department are delineated in the Borough of Norwood Code, Chapter
50.

MUNICIPAL COURT
Municipal Court meets the second and fourth Tuesday
of the month. The Municipal Court
Judge is Robert Solomon and the Court Administrator is Lindsay
Taglieri.
All questions pertaining to Municipal Court should
be directed to Ms. Taglieri at 201-767-7207.
FIRE DEPARTMENT
Norwood Fire Company No. 1 is the duly incorporated
volunteer fire company of the Borough. Headquarters is located at
602 Broadway. The non-emergency number is 201-768-06023. For
emergencies, call 911.
