Members of the Police Department are appointed by a
majority vote of the Borough Council at a regular meeting or at a
special meeting called for that purpose. Qualifications, testing
and promotion procedures, powers and duties, rules and regulations of
the Department are delineated in the Borough of Norwood Code, Chapter
50.

MUNICIPAL COURT
Municipal Court meets the second and fourth Tuesday
of the month. The Municipal
Court Judge is Robert Solomon and the Court Administrator is Lindsay
Taglieri.
All questions pertaining to Municipal Court should
be directed to Ms. Taglieri at 201-767-7207.

FIRE DEPARTMENT
Norwood Fire Company No. 1 is the duly incorporated
volunteer fire company of the Borough. Headquarters is located at
602 Broadway. The non-emergency number is 201-768-6023. For
emergencies, call 911.

The Fire Department invites all local non-profit
organizations to use their outdoor sign to announce upcoming
events. Sign requirements are:

limited to 5 lines

come, first serve basis
- One
month advance notice
- The
Fire Co. reserves the right to edit or refuse messages
Councilman Condoleo is the Fire Liaison for 2010
EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES:
The EMS Chief is Thomas Simpson, Assistant Chief is
Daniel Polifroni Lieutenant, Perry Duelfer. The EMS
liaison is Councilwoman Marianne Orecchio.
