AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 85 OF=
THE
CODE OF
THE BOROUGH OF NORWOOD REGULATING
ANIMALS, REQUIRING DOG AND CAT LICENSING
, the purpose of this ordinance is =
to
authorize the imposition of late fees to be charged for the issuance and an=
nual
renewal of dog and cat licenses and to require that license applications to=
be
filed with the Board of Health secretary.
by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Norwood as follows:
: Section 85-2 of the Code of the Bo=
rough
of Norwood shall be revised to add a new subsection stating:

G.
Late Fee. Any person applying=
for a
dog license renewal will be subject to a late fee of $10.00 for each license
renewal applied for and issued after March 1 of each year.
: Section 85-17 o=
f the
Code of the Borough of Norwood shall be revised to add a new subsection
stating:
L. Late Fee. Any person applying for a cat lice=
nse
renewal will be subject to a late fee of $10.00 for each license renewal
applied for and issued after March 1 of each year.
: All references to the “Borou=
gh
Clerk” in Chapter 85 shall be amended to state the “Secretary to
the Board of Health.”
: All ordinances or parts of ordinan=
ces
that are inconsistent with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby
repealed, but only to the extent of any inconsistencies.
: The provisions of this ordinance a=
re
severable. If any part of this
ordinance is declared to be unconstitutional or invalid by any court, the
remaining parts of this ordinance will remain in full force and effect.
: This ordinance shall take effect u=
pon
final approval and publication, according to law.
