AN ORDIN= ANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 50 OF THE CODE OF THE BOROUGH OF NORWOOD REGARDING THE POL= ICE DEPARTMENT AND THE FEES CHARGED TO PRIVATE CONTRACTORS FOR POLICE SERVICES<= o:p>

 

WHEREAS, the purpose of this ordinance is to amend Chapter 50 of the Code of the Bor= ough of Norwood to increase the fees payable by private contractors for police services.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Norwood as follows:

Section 1:  Chapter 50 of the Code= of the Borough of Norwood shall be amended so that the subsection (B)(2) of Section 50-17 titled “Reimbursement for police services by private contractors” shall state: “(2).  Rate of Compensation to the Boroug= h: $100.00 per hour.”

Section 2:  All ordinances or part= s of ordinances that are inconsistent with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed, but only to the extent of any inconsistencies.

Section 3:  The provisions of this ordinance are severable.  If a= ny part of this ordinance is declared to be unconstitutional or invalid by any court, the remaining parts of this ordinance will remain in full force and effect.

Section 4:  This ordinance shall t= ake effect upon final approval and publication, according to law.
