Norwood Senior Citizen Club
NORWOOD SENIOR CITIZEN CLUB INC.
The Mission of the Norwood Senior Citizen Club is to sponsor friendship, good citizenship and the enjoyment of wholesome recreation.
Club Meetings are scheduled for the first and third Monday of each month at 1 p.m. at the Norwood Community Center, 453 Broadway. Membership is available to Norwood residents aged 55 or over. 2018 Annual dues are fifteen dollars. Refreshments are served after each meeting. Seasonal holiday lunches are also planned for the membership. The Community Center remains open on meeting days until 4:30 p.m. to give members an opportunity to play cards, board games and socialize. Guest speakers are invited, usually monthly, to inform members of timely information on health issues, financial subject, personal safety programs and local public issues. Members are provided information on programs offered by Federal and Bergen County Senior Services.
This is an active club whose members enjoy social events, traveling to local places of interest, to theatres and to casinos. In addition to the day trips, extended multi-day trips are also on their schedules.
The Norwood Senior Citizen Club plays an active role in community events and annually contributes to a local community project.
The Norwood Senior Van is available, by appointment to transport residents to club meetings. Call 201-767-7200, ext. 4026 to schedule a pick up.
