Who is responsible for the repair or replacement of the water line going into your home?  If you water service line entering your house is leaking or ruptures do you know who fixes it?  You as the homeowner are responsible to repair or replace your existing water service entering your house.  By that we mean from the curb box into your home.  Contact your plumber or United Water New Jersey (1-800-422-5987) for information on how to repair this service.

A construction permit and applicable inspections are required for the following:

• Addition to existing structure
• Alterations including roofing and siding
• Interior renovations including bathroom, kitchen and finished basements
• Mechanical equipment including replacement of hot water heaters, boiler, heating and cooling units or electrical service upgrades
• Demolition of any structure
• Fencing
